American Public Power Association

Created in 1940 as a non-profit, non-partisan organization, the American Public Power Association (APPA) is the service organization for the nation's more than 2,000 community-owned electric utilities that serve more than 43 million Americans.

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is America's largest state-owned power organization. NYPA provides some of the lowest-cost electricity in New York State, operating 17 generating facilities and more than 1,400 circuit-miles of transmission lines.

St. Lawrence Gas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Enbridge Gas Distribution in Canada (the Enbridge Connection) was incorporated in 1957and distributes natural gas to approximately: 13,600 Residential customers, 1,600 Commercial customers, and 23 Industrial customers.

Municipal Electric Utilities Association of New York State

The Municipal Electric Utilities Association of New York State (MEUA) was formed in 1930. The object of this association is to foster and advance the efficient operation of publicly owned and operated electric systems.

The New York Municipal Power Agency (NYMPA) is a joint action Agency of 35 New York State municipal members. The Agency was formed in 1996 and commenced supplying power to its members in May 1998.
